At a glance

Core Step Rabbit features are designed to work on your device without an account. Your wellness settings, plans, progress, reminders, and most health-related information stay on that device. We do not sell personal information or Health data, use Health data for advertising, or include third-party advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs.

If you choose to create an account and opt into Groups, leaderboards, or challenges, we process the limited account and sharing information described below to operate those optional services. You control whether to use them and what eligible metrics to share.

Information stored on your device

Step Rabbit stores the information needed to provide its on-device features, such as your app preferences, appearance and companion selections, goals, plans, streaks, progress summaries, water and medication check-ins, reminder settings, and locally cached history. This information is normally retained on your device until you change it, reset it, or remove the app.

Widgets and the Apple Watch app may use a protected shared app container on your Apple devices to display the same Step Rabbit information. That is device-to-device app functionality, not a Step Rabbit cloud backup service.

Apple Health and health-related information

Apple Health connections are optional and controlled by Apple’s permission system. Depending on the features you choose, Step Rabbit may request access to categories such as steps, active energy, walking and running distance, flights climbed, exercise and movement data, workouts, walking metrics, heart rate and heart-rate variability, resting heart rate, body or wrist temperature, sleep, body mass, and dietary water. We use the categories you authorize to power the relevant in-app views, trends, goals, and personal wellness context.

Permissions are requested in feature-specific groups. You can decline a request or change access at any time in the Health app or iOS Settings. Step Rabbit writes only dietary-water entries that you add and only after you enable Apple Health water sync. It does not write steps, workouts, heart data, sleep, weight, or other Health data.

We do not use HealthKit data for advertising, sell it, or disclose individual HealthKit samples to third parties. If you opt into Groups, Step Rabbit sends only the specific leaderboard information you choose to share; individual Health samples do not leave your device through that feature. See “Optional accounts, Groups, and challenges” below.

Optional accounts, Groups, and challenges

Groups, leaderboards, friend invites, and accountability challenges are optional. If you elect to use them, we may process an account identifier, sign-in credentials or tokens, display name, selected visibility and metric-sharing preferences, consent choices, group membership, invitations, challenge activity, reports or blocks, and the selected aggregate totals needed to display a leaderboard.

For matching, Step Rabbit is designed to use coarse preferences such as a goal band, time-zone identifier, selected activity window, and visibility setting—not location or individual Health samples. Detailed hourly step progress is shared only when you have separately enabled detailed progress sharing for an eligible group. Other group members can see the information you choose to make visible through that group.

You can leave a group, change your sharing choices, block or report members, sign out, or request deletion of an optional account from the app where those features are available. Account-session tokens are stored in your device’s secure keychain. We retain server-side group information only as long as needed to operate the service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and protect users; deleted information may remain in limited backups for a reasonable period.

Purchases

Optional purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Step Rabbit receives purchase and entitlement status needed to unlock the feature; we do not receive or store your full payment-card number. Apple handles payment information under its own privacy policy and terms.

Notifications and location

If you allow notifications, Step Rabbit may schedule reminders locally on your device. You can turn them off in the app or iOS Settings. If you enable the daily briefing’s local weather feature, the app may use your location while it is open to obtain local weather; the app is designed not to store or share that location.

Analytics, advertising, and tracking

Step Rabbit does not include third-party advertising networks, analytics SDKs, or cross-app or cross-website tracking. We do not use cookies for targeted advertising. If these practices change, we will update this policy and the applicable App Store privacy disclosures before the change takes effect.

Sharing, service providers, and legal requirements

We share information only as needed to operate a feature you choose, such as showing your selected leaderboard information to the members of your Group. We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our terms, protect the rights, safety, and security of users or the public, or respond to a valid legal process. We do not sell or rent personal information or Health data.

Security, backups, and incident notices

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the nature of the optional service, including encrypted network connections where supported and secure storage for account-session tokens on your device. No system is completely secure. Apple may include device data in backups according to the backup settings you choose. If we determine that an incident involving personal information we control requires notice under applicable law, we will provide the required notice.

Your choices, access, and deletion

You can control Apple Health permissions in the Health app or iOS Settings, control notifications in the app or iOS Settings, change or stop Group sharing in the app, and use Reset Step Rabbit Data in Settings to remove local settings, cached history, plans, and reminders. Resetting or deleting Step Rabbit does not delete information already stored in Apple Health; manage that information in Apple’s Health app.

To request access to or deletion of an optional Step Rabbit account, contact us at the address below from the email associated with the account. We may need to verify your request before acting on it. Some information may be retained where law allows or requires it, including for security, fraud prevention, and recordkeeping.

Children’s privacy

Step Rabbit is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through an optional account feature, contact us so we can address it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Step Rabbit changes or as law requires. We will post the updated policy here and revise the effective date before a material new data practice takes effect.
